I live in Nova Scotia and inherited a piece of land next to the old family cottage on the Bay of Quinte. For a long while I thought that I might like to build a place there to retire. However, after many years, I decided that the time had come to let someone else appreciate this piece of the world. I asked a cousin of mine for a referral. She recommended Alexandra. Upon contacting Alexandra Grant I received immediate attention and work. Before signing a contract Alexandra did her research about building permits, ROW’s, set backs, etc. She decided that the lot was marketable; we signed a contract. Then Alexandra went to work. Drawing upon her business network, Alexandra made an informal survey, hired a drone photographer, and soon the listing was up live. It was going to take a special buyer for this lot; we both knew that. Alexandra did not waste my time with inappropriate inquiries. Indeed she kept at bay inappropriate interference. Finally when the right buyer came along, Alexis ironed out any difficulties and, within the prerequisite time, the conditions were removed from the offer – the Lot was sold. Alexis obviously negotiates with the other side diplomatically and efficiently. DEEP FAMILY ROOTS- ABOUT THE TEAM 
 

Alexandra Grant, Team Lead, grew up in Napanee with several ties to Prince Edward County & Quinte/Belleville regions. She has worked for RE/MAX since 2011 and believes in a strong established world recognized brand to offer her clients through the RE/MAX platform. 

 

She is the youngest of her family and comes from a background in sales. Her father/grandfather formally owned a local insurance brokerage. She believes in being connected with her community and gives to a local charity and sits on the Rotary Club. The odd time you find Alexandra not working you will often see her with her family (2 children) and husband, out golfing, fishing, shopping at local stores, and volunteering her time where needed. 

 

Why did Alexandra enter the real estate industry? At a young age, she often followed the newspaper keeping in close connection with the real estate industry. She entered into the family business of insurance, long after her father had retired, but something was still missing. She pursued her career in real estate. She was determined even though many influences around her told her how male-dominated the industry was and how “cutthroat” it is. They said she would get eaten alive for being so honest and ethical. She was determined to change the stigma of real estate and push through these blockades. Since joining the industry her business has grown exponentially. She tends to be at the forefront of bringing in the new industry-changing marketing solutions and you will see her business grow every year. 

 

Carol May, 

 

Carol May,  was born and raised in Hastings County in the Village of Stirling where she has deep family roots. Country life has given her expansive knowledge in the rural real estate market. She and her husband settled in the Durham Region, where she began her real estate career in 2014. She’s since returned to her roots in the Quinte area with her family.

Carol has spent all of her career in real estate working in a team setting and is well

trained in negotiations and customer service. She is detail-oriented and treats every client as if they were her own family. She is as honest as they come and will work hard to protect your investment.

 

In Carol’s free time she enjoys visiting the Prince Edward County region to enjoy the fine art, wineries, dining, and beach. She has two adult daughters with whom she spends much of her time. She is very family-oriented with a constant positive mindset and approach.

 

Carol often works with Buyers and you will find the feedback we have received shows she is attentive to detail and truly cares about the well-being of her clients. She has an abundance of rural knowledge to help educate buyers that are not familiar with such systems ie. septic, wells, and water filtration systems. She has strong negotiation knowledge especially coming from a fast-paced competitive market like Durham.
